• Form for sale on the 12th (Only necessary on a year when on a year when Erev Pesach is on Shabbos)

To have Rav Zachariash act as your agent to sell your chometz, please follow the following instructions.

1. Print the contract from Mechiras Chometz English – Fillable.
   1. This form has been designed so that you can easily fill it out using your computer keyboard, and then printed out using your printer.
   2. For those who will be away for Pesach and also need a Mechiras Yud Gimmel, it is available here: מכירת חמץ יג תשפא Mechiras Chometz Form yud-gimel
   3. If Erev Pesach is on Shabbos, and you want to sell “early”, you need this form for the 12th instead of the 13th:  מכירת חמץ יב תשפא
2. Fill out your name and address at the top.
3. Check off the types of Chametz you are selling. There are blank spaces to specify items not covered in the list. Only mark items that you *know* are in your possession.
4. Check off the areas containing Chametz being sold, including offices, vehicles, etc.
5. Fill in the box with access information, e.g. where a key will be available.
6. DO NOT fill the date nor sign the document.
7. The contract needs to be brought to the Rav in person. The times when the Rav is in Ahavas Shalom for this change each year, so see a current calendar for more information, or contact the Rav directly at 052-763-5938.

 הוראות שימוש:

1. הדפס את ההרשאה מפה: הרשאה למכירת חמץ בעברית
   אפשר למלא ההרשאה על המחשב ואח”כ להדפיס. הערה: עדיין חייבים להביא ההרשאה ולחתום עם הרב באחד מהזמנים למטה.
   (מי שנוסע לכל החג וצריך גם שטר מכירת י”ג או מכירת חמץ י”ב)
2. מלא את השם ואת הכתובת שלך בראש.
3. רשום את סוגי חמץ שאתה מוכר. יש מקומות ריקים כדי לציין פריטים לא מכוסים ברשימה. סמן רק סוגי חמץ שאתה בטוח שהם ברשותך.
4. רשום את אזורים המכילים חמץ הנמכרות, לרבות משרדים, כלי רכב, וכו ‘
5. מלא הסעיף עם פרטי גישה למקומות האלו, למשל איפה ניתן להשיג המפתחות.
6. יש למלא התאריך ולחתום אך ורק בזמן הקנין עם הרב.
7. תביא את החוזה אל הרב באחת העתים האלו:

It is an accepted, long-standing Minhag to compensate the Rav for his time and effort in selling your Chametz. Some have written that there is a Halachic basis for this, and it is a good thing to do. (From the Sefer Piskei Teshuvos)

However, due to legal and tax considerations, the vaad is not able to act as a middleman in this. We suggest that people bring cash or checks directly to the Rav. If you want to transfer funds electronically directly into the Rav’s bank account, please contact Aryeh Beer.
