BSD A message from 100 years ago regarding Swords of Iron (in the intro); A) A Chuppah is traditionally the stage that follows Kiddushin, finishing off the marriage process. But can chuppah sometimes function as THE Kiddushin, the first stage that changes the woman’s status? ; B) There are two conditions required for Kiddushin: Giving the money (or a valuable item, e.g. a ring) and saying “You are hereby mekudeshes (sanctified) to me”. Now, if HE gave her the ring but SHE said “I am mekudeshes to you”- does that work? ; C) What should be done in case of questionable marriage (i.e. we don’t know if the Kiddushin were valid or not)?
