As the Rav writes this week, Ki Savo is the parsha of giving thanks. There are so many things to be thankful for, but some are just not so obvious. Hashem has given me health—thank you Hashem! But I can also thank Hashem for being able to thank Him! Just look at the penultimate line of Modim D’Rabbonanin which we thank Hashem that we can thank Him!

One might think that working for a kehillah or its Rav (without pay) is a chore, but it is actually a privilege that not everyone gets—and I have to again be thankful for that. Not everyone can be fortunate enough to give to such worthwhile recipients! And such a privilege can be taken away by Hashem in an instant!

What are you thankful for?
